I always thought poor people were in their circumstances because of their own doing. Then, one day I became dirt poor. I understood that sometimes, life just takes you to weird places and it isn’t something that all of us can control. I was able to see that poor people are just regular people like you and me. I learned that there should be no judgment attached to their financial circumstances.
