Quora’s Overachievers Are Making Me Depressed. Am I a Loser?

No. You aren’t a loser. You’re cool. Kind of like rice krispies. They snap, crackle AND pop. That’s pretty awesome. For something so simple to be able to do three distinct things, all while submerged in milk.

Want to know what I can do while submerged in milk?

Drown.

Is that cool?

Nope. Not cool at all. But hey, at least I’ll look sexy while doing it.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Just kidding.

So if anyone is a loser, it’s me. I spend around sixteen hours a day on this site. So maybe I have a serious addiction problem here that I may need to get addressed some day…

You on the other hand?

You can become whomever you choose to be.

You can do whatever you choose to do.

You can have whatever you choose to have.

All you have to do is first choose yourself. Then take small tiny baby steps in the direction you choose.

Sure, you may stumble and fall at times, but just pick yourself up and dust yourself off.

If you find yourself making small achievements, go reward yourself.

You deserve it.

Then before you know it, your destiny will have redesigned itself.

Don’t worry about being depressed now. As you progress at these things, you will come to find what true happiness is all about.

I’ll let you in on a secret.

It’s not about a fancy title. It’s not about a fancy degree. It’s not even about how much money you have in the bank.

Because guess what?

I have none of those things either.

So what is happiness all about?

It’s all about making sure that you are living in the moment, appreciating life and being grateful for the things you have, no matter how few there are. It’s about making genuine connections with others and sharing a portion of your heart and soul with the world. It’s about making small baby steps and progressing forward.

So go try something new and before you know it, you’ll be on a completely new path.

Good luck! 🙂
