Why Do People Work Hard at Trivial Jobs?

Because there is no such thing as a trivial job. Every role has a purpose in the bigger picture, no matter how unlikely it seems on the surface. These people take pride in the work they do because they understand that what they do matters. Whether it be cleaning, sorting papers, answering phones, putting two pieces together on an assembly line, dealing with customers, etc., it all matters.

If they weren’t working hard at their jobs, there would be a serious culture issue at their place of employment. Serious enough that upper management may need to be replaced.
