Asides from a long term friendship?
The ability to make an impact in the world through someone whom could have more potential influence in the future than themselves.
Finding the proper person to mentor though, that’s the tricky part. Especially if they aren’t humble, hungry and honest. Ethics plays a huge part of the equation.
Otherwise, it usually turns into a disaster where the apprentice just back stabs the mentor and tries to take them down. Or at least that has been the case for me, for two of the three people whom I taught how to earn high five to low six figure incomes.
