What It Felt Like to Know Someone Was Dating Me Just for My Money

I was fine with it.  I never thought it was a big deal.  All girls ever did was date me for my money.  Especially my ex.

Until I didn’t have it anymore.

Then I found this girl who lived in a studio apartment who didn’t care about a single thing.  That was fun for a while.  But I always wanted my ex back for the longest time.  However, she never wanted me back because I was no longer earning six figures and I was just another poor guy on the block trying to get by.

I suppose, since I’m used to dating girls who require a lot of money, some of my old habits don’t die as quickly as they should.  Sometimes, I offend a wonderful woman here and there by offering her money.  Stupid, I know.  However, sometimes… It’s just hard to kick those old habits.

Now I’m just looking for someone who loves me for me.  Preferably, the type of woman I marry would be passionate, caring, ethical, philanthropic, trustworthy, and supportive.  Who cares about money, wealth, or any of that.  She doesn’t even need to know how to cook.  I can do that.

Regardless, at the end of the day… Love is all that matters.

  1. It seems all my life I have had men like that. I hardly ever had any money and the money that I DID have went to them. Before I had kids that is…and even still I was the main financial support. If i didn’t shell out the money..they would get angry and leave. Time after time I let it happen so that was my bad. You can’t blame people for trying to get what they an out of you. Its up to you in the end to either give or not. I want someone to love me for ME. For the person that I am because I was a good wife and very good housekeeper and I rock the hell out of that kitchen. Now I just want someone who appreciates that. <3
