The Difference Between Depression and Laziness

Laziness = I want to lay around in bed all day.

Depression = All I can do is lay around in my bed because I hate my life. I’m so sad and miserable. I wish things would change or if I was dead. Would anyone miss me?

    • You are already doing something powerful that works. Prayers.

Ask your son to go for a walk on his own, long walks helps. I am doing it for quite some time.

You can help by praising him for the little things he do, …Praise boosts self esteem and will help him recover faster.

My prayers too for your son.

    • Hello Manda,

There is a lot you can do for your son besides pray. You can try and be non-judgemental, encouraging, supportive and a good listener. In addition, collaborating with your sons Doctors and providing feedback is also very important. At the end of the day there is only so much a parent can do to help, but praying all day and doing little else is really not going to help him, sorry but thats the truth. Ultimately, your son with good support, will realise he is the only one who can help himself.

Wish you both the very best of luck.

      Craig
